Roti loves his new family, especially his new sister (actually his half-sister) Miss Keema (KaleiXSky)! Roti goes to work with Margaret most days and is quite the star! It’s a great place to socialize him with people. Everyone comments on how good he is- so quiet, well-behaved and VERY sweet! But at home he is so naughty! Like his Mommie, Kalei, he is naughty and nice! He runs around the house getting into everything. He LOVES shoes, especially if they are in pairs (he must separate them a great distance), socks, and pretty much anything he can get his mouth on. He loves one of the cats, Curry – he chews on his legs and ears like he is a toy. He climbs the cat tower to say hi to all the other cats.

He and his sister Keema get along famously, and they behave just like siblings with the big sister getting control in most situations. But they love to pal around together and are always checking in with each other.

Roti has completed two puppy classes and is doing really well all in all. He won’t do any commands unless he KNOWS there is food, but then he does it right away. His recall is fantastic – the trick is to reward him with food EVERY time he comes when called. (This required having treats at all times – the treat bag is pretty much part of Margaret’s wardrobe now). Now, it is a reflex and he can’t help himself but to look at his owner when his name is called – especially if a high, happy, excited tone is used. Margaret comments that it is hard to sound happy and upbeat when he is being naughty! He will be starting his third class in mid-June with the goal of his knowing enough commands for a foundation for conformation and agility. Roti will be at the VCA Nationals this Fall!

Roti is naturally social with other dogs – he has quickly learned to be polite and not just run up and jump all over a new friend. He is also cautious- if a dog acts a little aggressive or pushy, he backs off and does not pursue them. He does seems to have some sense!
